In May, we asked the congregation to attend the 'Exploring the Vision' Conference, and discuss all the green bubbles on the Vision.  We had over 120 suggestions and comments!  At that meeting, and later through the intimation sheet, we asked for nominations for a Steering Group to decide which suggestions to act on and in what order.  We now have nine people, four members of the Kirk Session, and five people from the congregation, of varying ages and interests, who are serving on the Steering group.  Susan convenes the meetings, and Anne attends.  We also have three ladies from the New Laigh Kirk who attend the meetings and offer their experiences and help when appropriate. 

So far the Group has met twice and will meet again at the end of July.  They have currently prioritised five of the categories and made some decisions on initiatives to be undertaken in the first year.  It is not too late to continue giving suggestions, and a box at the front door of the church is provided for that purpose. The congregation should start noticing changes after the summer as some of the suggestions are put into place.
